Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground chicken 93% lean preferred
  • 1 cup fresh spinach finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • burger buns
  • lettuce crisp
  • tomato sliced
  • condiments of choice mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, spinach, cheddar cheese, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, about ½ inch thick. Press a slight dimple into the center of each patty.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side, or until browned and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • While the burgers are cooking, you can toast your buns (optional).
  • Layer each toasted bun with lettuce, tomato, a juicy chicken burger, and your favorite condiments.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Leftover cooked chicken burgers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. They’re also great for freezing! Wrap individual patties tightly in plastic wrap, then place them in a freezer-safe bag or container. They will keep for up to 3 months in the freezer.
