Taco Hissy Fit Dip

This Taco Hissy Fit Dip is ridiculously easy, unbelievably delicious, and guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser. It's ready in under an hour and perfect for game day or any get-together.

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 preferred
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream full-fat
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Mexican blend also fantastic
  • 0.5 cup diced green onions
  • 0.5 cup diced tomatoes optional
  • 0.5 cup chopped black olives optional
  • tortilla chips plenty

Instructions
 

  • Brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess grease. Stir in taco seasoning and simmer until thickened. Cool slightly.
  • Combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and salsa until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread cream cheese mixture into a 9x9 inch baking dish. Top with seasoned beef and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
  • Garnish with green onions, tomatoes, and olives (if using). Serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Notes

Make sure your cream cheese is softened. Don't overcook the beef. Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking (add a few minutes to baking time). Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
