  • 3 tbsp caramel sauce + extra for drizzling
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

For the Crunch Topping

  • 2 tbsp crushed caramel candies or toffee bits
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 0.5 tbsp butter

For the Whipped Cream

  • 0.5 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 0.25 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Prepare the Crunch Topping: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the sugar until bubbly and dissolved. Add crushed caramel candies or toffee bits and stir continuously until melted and combined. Quickly pour this mixture onto a piece of parchment paper. Let it cool completely, then break it into small, irregular pieces.
  • Step 2: Make the Whipped Cream: While the crunch topping cools, combine heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Whisk until soft peaks form. Set aside.
  • Step 3: Blend the Frappuccino: In a blender, combine ice, milk, espresso (or strong coffee), 3 tablespoons of caramel sauce, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy, pulsing as needed to achieve a thick, frosty consistency.
  • Step 4: Assemble the Drink: Drizzle extra caramel sauce generously along the inside walls of a tall glass. Carefully pour the blended frappuccino into the prepared glass.
  • Step 5: Top and Serve: Top with a generous spoonful of homemade whipped cream. Sprinkle liberally with the caramel crunch topping. Finish with one last decadent drizzle of caramel sauce over everything. Serve immediately.

Notes

For the best consistency, use fresh, solid ice and ensure brewed coffee is completely cooled before blending. Avoid over-blending to maintain a thick, icy texture. Adjust sweetness to your preference. The caramel crunch topping can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, and whipped cream can be refrigerated for up to 1 day. Frappuccinos are best enjoyed immediately as the texture degrades quickly upon storage.
