For the Shipwreck Slush
- 2 oz Coconut Rum
- 2 oz Spiced Rum
- 1 oz Blue Curaçao
- 2 oz Pineapple Juice
- 1 oz Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
- 1 oz Cream of Coconut
- 2 cups Ice or more, depending on desired thickness
Garnish (optional)
- Pineapple wedge
- Lime wheel
- Mint sprig
- Gummy anchors or shark candies (optional)
Step 1: Gather all your ingredients and measure them out.
Step 2: Add the coconut rum, spiced rum, blue curaçao, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, cream of coconut, and 2 cups of ice into your blender. Secure the lid.
Step 3: Blend on a lower speed initially, then increase to high. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and has a slushy consistency (about 30 seconds). Add more ice if needed to reach your desired thickness.
Step 4: Carefully pour the slush into chilled glasses.
Step 5: Garnish with a pineapple wedge, lime wheel, mint sprig, and optional gummy candies.
Step 6: Serve immediately and enjoy!
This drink is best enjoyed immediately after blending. For parties, you can pre-mix the liquid ingredients (rums, curaçao, juices) and store them chilled, then add cream of coconut and ice to the blender for individual servings.
Easily make a non-alcoholic version by substituting rums and Blue Curaçao with extra pineapple juice, a splash of orange extract, and maybe a blue raspberry or curaçao syrup for color.
Using a good blender and chilled liquids will help achieve the smoothest texture. Adjust the amount of ice to get your preferred slush thickness.
