Equipment

  • Medium bowl
  • 8x8 inch baking dish
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cup
  • Knife

Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs regular or cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet, milk chocolate, or dark chocolate
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, melted butter, and creamy peanut butter. Stir until everything is evenly mixed and forms a slightly sticky dough.
  • Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides.
  • Press the peanut butter mixture firmly and evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  • Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer. Spread it evenly with a spatula or knife.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate is completely set.
  • Once set, lift the bars out of the dish using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Want to get creative? Try adding chopped nuts to the peanut butter layer, swap graham crackers for crushed pretzels, sprinkle flaky sea salt on top, or drizzle melted chocolate over the top before chilling.
