Equipment

  • Slow cooker
  • Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger minced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch optional
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • green onions chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and minced ginger.
  • Place the bite-sized steak pieces in your slow cooker. Spread them out to ensure even cooking.
  • Pour the honey garlic mixture over the steak; stir gently to coat.
  • Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours, or until the steak is incredibly tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  • If you want a thicker sauce, whisk the cornstarch with a tablespoon or two of cold water until it forms a smooth slurry. Stir this into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • Garnish generously with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes
