Equipment

  • Sheet Pan
  • Parchment Paper or Nonstick Spray
  • small saucepan
  • Spatula or Tongs
  • Oven

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 14 oz chicken or turkey sausage sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes peeled and diced into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 cups broccoli florets cut into bite-sized pieces

Honey Garlic Glaze

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter for richness and silky finish
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup honey sticky and sweet glaze
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce adds depth and umami
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar adds brightness and tang
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Garnish

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley finely minced, for garnish

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly coat with nonstick spray for easy cleanup.
  • Step 2: Slice the sausage into 1/2-inch rounds. Peel and dice sweet potatoes into 1/2-inch cubes. Cut broccoli florets into bite-sized pieces. Spread all ingredients evenly on the prepared sheet pan, leaving space so they roast instead of steam.
  • Step 3: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Step 4: Stir in honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Let the glaze simmer gently for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally to blend the flavors into a glossy sauce.
  • Step 5: Pour the warm honey garlic glaze evenly over the sausage, sweet potatoes, and broccoli on the sheet pan. Toss gently with a spatula or tongs to coat all pieces thoroughly.
  • Step 6: Roast in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes. Halfway through, stir everything to ensure even cooking and caramelization.
  • Step 7: When sweet potatoes are fork-tender and sausage is browned, remove from oven. Sprinkle minced fresh parsley over the dish for a fresh, vibrant finish. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

This sheet pan dinner stores well in the fridge for 3-4 days and freezes up to 2 months. Reheat gently in a skillet or oven to preserve texture. Customize with different sausages, veggies, or add spice with red pepper flakes or sriracha. Serve with steamed rice or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
