  • 1 tsp citric acid optional, sharpens flavor and preserves snacks

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare all ingredients by measuring fruit puree, sweetener, gelatin, and citric acid to ensure a smooth process.
  • Step 2: Blend your chosen fruits until completely smooth to yield 2 cups of puree. Optional: add a handful of spinach or kale for extra nutrition.
  • Step 3: Pour fruit puree and honey or maple syrup into a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly and avoid boiling to preserve fresh flavor.
  • Step 4: Slowly sprinkle unflavored gelatin over the warm fruit mixture while stirring continuously until fully dissolved, about 5 minutes.

  • Step 6: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm. Once set, pop the fruit snacks out of the molds and enjoy.

Notes

Swap fruits to create different flavors; use agar-agar for vegan option but expect different texture. Store in airtight container in fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze up to 3 months.
