Equipment

  • Small bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Sharp knife

Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails (4 to 6 oz each)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley chopped
  • lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions

  • Cut each lobster tail lengthwise down the top shell, stopping at the base. Gently remove the lobster meat, leaving it attached at the base. Be careful not to cut all the way through! A sharp knife makes this step much easier.
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly distributed.
  • Preheat your broiler. Place the lobster tails on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  • Brush the lobster tails generously with the garlic butter mixture, making sure to coat both the meat and the shell.
  • Broil for 8-10 minutes, basting halfway through, until the lobster is opaque and golden brown. Keep a close eye on them so they don't burn. Broilers vary, so start checking at 8 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges and extra garlic butter for dipping.

Notes

Feel free to get creative! Try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick, or some chopped chives for a different herby flavor. You could also experiment with different herbs like thyme or oregano. For a richer flavor, use clarified butter instead of regular melted butter. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in the microwave or oven.
