Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Silicone molds
  • Stirring Spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 cup baking soda This is the base of our aroma stones, giving them structure.
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch Adds a smooth texture and helps the stones hold their shape.
  • 1/2 cup water This helps bind the dry ingredients together.
  • 10-15 drops essential oil Choose your favorite scent to personalize your aroma stones!
  • Silicone molds

Instructions

  • Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the baking soda and cornstarch. This is your dry mix, and I love how simple it is!
  • Step 2: Gradually add the water to the dry ingredients, stirring continuously until the mixture is smooth. It should feel like a thick paste.
  • Step 3: Add your chosen essential oil to the mixture and blend thoroughly. I always go for lavender for its calming scent, but you can get creative!
  • Step 4: Pour the mixture into the silicone molds, filling them evenly. Don't worry about being perfect; a little texture adds character.
  • Step 5: Allow the aroma stones to dry for 24-48 hours at room temperature until completely hardened. The wait is worth it!
  • Step 6: Once dry, carefully remove the stones from the molds. They should pop out easily!
  • Step 7: Place the scented aroma stones in your desired locations to enjoy the fragrance. I love putting them in my drawers and closets.

Notes

Store your aroma stones in a cool, dry place. They can last for several months if kept away from moisture. If the scent fades over time, simply add a few more drops of essential oil to refresh them!
