Equipment

  • Blender
  • Serving Glasses
  • Small plate

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces silver tequila
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen limeade concentrate
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup more to taste
  • 1 cup ice
  • lime wedges for rimming and garnish
  • margarita salt for rimming glasses
  • fresh berries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare Glasses: Grab your serving glasses. Take one of your lime wedges and run it around the rim of each glass to moisten the edge. Pour some margarita salt onto a small plate. Dip the moistened rim of each glass into the salt, rolling it gently to get a nice, even coating. Tap off any excess. Set your glasses aside.
  • Step 2: Make Margaritas: Measure out all your ingredients: the silver tequila, frozen strawberries, frozen limeade concentrate, fresh strawberries, simple syrup, and ice. Carefully add them all into your blender. Secure the lid and blend. Start on a lower setting and then crank it up to high until it is a completely smooth consistency with no chunks.
  • Step 3: Adjust to Taste: Stop the blender and taste your margarita mixture. Adjust sweetness by adding more simple syrup, or strength by adding more tequila. If too thick, add a tiny bit more limeade, water, or tequila. Blend again for just a few seconds to incorporate anything you added.
  • Step 4: Serve: Pour the perfectly blended margarita mix into each of your prepared, salt-rimmed glasses. Pop a fresh lime wedge onto the rim of each glass and maybe toss in a fresh strawberry or two if desired. Serve immediately while they're still icy and perfect!

Notes

You can easily make this non-alcoholic by skipping the tequila and adding a splash of orange juice, extra limeade, or club soda. Feel free to swap strawberries for other frozen fruits like mango, peaches, or raspberries, adjusting sweetness as needed. A splash of orange liqueur (like Grand Marnier) or Chambord can add depth, or muddle jalapeƱo for a spicy kick. For best results, use a good blender and ensure your fruit is frozen. Always taste and adjust the sweetness and strength before serving. For storing leftovers, pour into a freezer-safe container; it will freeze solid and require thawing or re-blending with liquid to regain slushy consistency. It's best enjoyed fresh.
