Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf sourdough bread a good, crusty loaf is key here
  • 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated or shredded
  • Pepperoni or preferred pizza toppings

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Step 2: Slice your sourdough loaf in half lengthwise, like opening a book. Lay the halves cut-side up on a baking sheet, optionally lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Step 3: Spoon your pizza sauce generously and evenly over the top of each sourdough half, spreading it almost to the edges.
  • Step 4: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese evenly over the sauced bread.
  • Step 5: Lay out your pepperoni slices or whatever other delicious toppings you’ve chosen.
  • Step 6: Pop the baking sheet into your preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is gloriously melted and bubbly. For extra golden perfection and a slightly crispy edge, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
  • Step 7: Once out of the oven, let it cool for 2-3 minutes to allow the cheese to set slightly, then slice and enjoy your delicious homemade sourdough bread pizza!
