Instructions
Step 1:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Step 2:
Add milk, egg, and vanilla extract, then mix until smooth.
Step 3:
Let the batter rest for 10–15 minutes.
Step 4:
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 375°F (190°C).
Step 5:
Pour batter in thin streams into the hot oil to form small shapes.
Step 6:
Fry for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
Step 7:
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Step 8:
Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with desired toppings.
