Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 1 cup limeade store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries
  • 1/4 cup vanilla or plain yogurt

Instructions

  • Step 1: Pour limeade into a blender. Always start with your liquid first to help the blender motor.
  • Step 2: Add frozen berries and pulse for a few seconds to break them up, ensuring they blend smoothly.
  • Step 3: Spoon in the yogurt right on top of the berries.
  • Step 4: Blend until smooth and creamy, with no visible chunks of fruit. If it's too thick, add a tiny splash more limeade or water to reach your desired consistency.
  • Step 5: Pour into a tall glass and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Feel free to customize this smoothie: use a single type of frozen berry (or tropical fruits like mango/pineapple), Greek yogurt for extra thickness, or dairy-free yogurt for a vegan option. Add a handful of spinach or kale for extra nutrients, chia seeds or ground flaxseed for healthy fats and fiber, or protein powder for a post-workout treat. For more intense lime flavor, add fresh lime zest. If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, drizzle in honey, maple syrup, or a pitted date. Always add liquid to the blender first. Use ripe, sweet frozen fruit for the best flavor. Adjust consistency by adding more liquid if too thick, or more frozen berries/ice if too thin. For an extra frosty treat, chill your serving glass in the freezer for 5-10 minutes. While best fresh, leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours (shake/stir before serving). For longer storage, pour into ice cube trays and freeze, then blend the cubes with fresh limeade or water when ready to enjoy.
