Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Hand mixer or whisk
  • Air fryer
  • Cookie scoop (optional)
  • Fork
  • Parchment paper
  • Wire rack

Ingredients

  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter creamy is best
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 0.25 cup Nutella

Instructions

  • Combine peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, baking soda, vanilla extract, and salt in a mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  • Microwave Nutella for 10 seconds to soften. Swirl into the dough gently, don't overmix.
  • Scoop 1 tablespoon of dough per cookie, roll into balls, and place on a parchment-lined air fryer basket.
  • Use a fork to create a criss-cross pattern on each cookie.
  • Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes. Air fry cookies for 6-8 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Cool cookies in the air fryer for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use crunchy peanut butter for a textural change. Swap Nutella for another chocolate hazelnut spread or melted dark chocolate. Add nuts, chocolate chips, or dried cranberries.
